Treatment for Dyslexia

What is Dyslexia’s frequency in children?

Dyslexia is the most prevalent developmental disorder. Its frequency essentially varies according to the attributes of the language the child has to learn. In languages with the subtle letter and sound accord, the ones known as “opaque” tongues e.g. English, around  15% of the adolescent population has dyslexia. On the contrary, in more clear languages with a distinct letter and sound accord which are characterized by easily pronounced syllables e.g. Spanish, the prevalence in the adolescent population is just 5%. Statistically wise, this means that there is likely one student with dyslexia in a very classroom.
